Marco Urena (quarantine) starts full training #FantasyALeague
Stajcic is unlikely to pitch Urena and Polish midfielder Michal Janota straight in against the Wanderers, with both players needing time to get their fitness and understanding up to speed.
The Mariners coach is however hopeful a player with Urena’s experience will bring benefits to his squad even before he takes to the field.
“A player like that obviously brings a lot of value on the field but for me the biggest value is off the pitch,” Stajcic said.
Urena arrives at the Mariners with a laundry list of clubs and a less than impressive goal scoring record but many A-League successes have had the same.
Expect him to take 2-3 weeks to get up to speed but he should be given many opportunities in a team light on experience.
He’s $176k on Fantasy A-League.
