#AFLFantasy Jack Steven (calf) will not play in Round 1. Questionable for Round 2
Geelong coach Chris Scott ruled the 29-year-old, who missed almost all of last season due to ongoing mental health problems, out of the trip to Giants Stadium with the star midfielder managing a calf issue in recent months.
“We are pleased with his preparation bur we just want to be a little bit more cautious with him. That’s the slight bit of disappointing news on the selection front,” Scott told reporters via a video press conference from GMHBA Stadium on Wednesday.
Steven averaged 77 AFL Fantasy points in an interrupted 2019 playing just 7 games.
He averaged a career high 111 AFL Fantasy points in 2015.
