Thanks for checking out Before You Press Submit for Round 21 of the A-League season.

Adelaide United have employed a strange Injury Rotation Policy

Here is a list of news you need to know before you press submit to your lineup this week:

Bye Week.

Wellington Phoenix

Injuries/Suspensions.

Paulo Retre (Sydney FC)

Paulo Retres turn to be suspended this week for Sydney FC, he will miss 1 week

Ben Halloran (Adelaide United)

Massive blow for Adelaide United as Halloran has been a monster over the last month, a hamstring means he will miss, we’re unsure how long for.

Robbie Kruse (Melbourne Victory)

Huge blow for Victory with Kruse suffering an injury on his other hamstring. 6-8 weeks for Robbie should probably see his season ended unfortunately.

Load up on Rojas.

Storm Roux (Melbourne Victory)

Roux is also out for 3-4 weeks.

Panagiotis Kone (Western United)

Only a matter of time before he was out again, but not the hamstring this time. An ‘arm’ injury to add to Kone Bingo.

Returns.

Bernie Ibini (Newcastle Jets)

Ibini has been included in the squad to make his Newcastle Jets debut this year. Check out the Fantasy A-League run down here.

Joe Ledley (Newcastle Jets)

Ledley will also hope to make his A-League debut for Newcastle Jets, he has been added to Sportsdeck Fantasy A-League, discussed here.

Alex Baumjohann (Sydney FC)

Just in time for some Derby spice, Baumjohann has timed his return beautifully and will return to midfield to take on his former team.

James Troisi (Adelaide United)

Troisi has been out some time with a hamstring injury and finally makes his return.

With Halloran, Mauk, Toure and Kostandopoulos all out, Troisi should slot straight back in the Starting XI.

Juande (Perth Glory)

The talented midfielder has return to the Perth Glory team after a torrid season with groin troubles.

He might possibly go straight back in but isn’t a huge Fantasy A-League impact player.

Harrison Delbridge (Melbourne City)

Delbridge returns from yet another suspension. If you enjoy ridiculous things, put him in your Fantasy A-League team. You’ll get either 22 or -6.

Captains Choice

Adam Le Fondre (Sydney FC)

Some really even matchups this week, as Western United have the Mariners at home but they’ve been hard to trust lately.

I expect Sydney FC to be far too strong for Wanderers in the Derby and for their to be plenty of goals, so with that I will recommend the safe floor of Adam Le Fondre, Kosta Barbarouses & Milos Ninkovic.

If you think it’ll be a cagey affair, Andrew Redmayne wouldn’t be the worst choice.

My Team.
